Ejecting a flash drive abruptly might result in data corruption and/or data loss.PrivateAccess is not supported on APFS formatted flash drives.If the password is forgotten, the files within the private vault will not be accessible and cannot be retrieved. Ensure to perform regular backups of your vault data. ![]() If you are absolutely sure you are using the correct password and it is not being accepted there is not really much you can do to get the data back as it is encrypted. When using these drives you should always eject the drive.
